Interesting trip in 2011

We were actually there last week (2011) - poor ski conditions due to torrential rain for 2 days after icy conditions all week. The scenery is magnificent and the people re wonderful. Due to unpredictability of the weather I would not hurry back.

What's the hype about?

Just average, in our opinion.  Very poor weather:  only one day of sunshine out of 6.  Most days consist of rain, heavy winds, fog, snowstorms.  Seems like most people we spoke with had similar experiences.  It's difficult to ski when you can't see where you're going!
